Johnathan Appel is a comedian and writer based in NYC. His writing has been featured in The New Yorker, McSweeney's Internet Tendency, and Weekly Humorist, among others. He currently writes for BoogieManja sketch team, Dropout Kids, and performs with his indie character team, Poughkeepsie. He performs stand up and characters all around this darn city. He's also an associate producer and teaching artist for Story Pirates. He has studied improv, sketch, and characters with Second City, UCB, The Magnet Theater, and The Funny School of Good Acting, among others.
