Preston Martin is a queer class clown based in Brooklyn. He has performed and directed in over fifty venues across New York City, including The Public, La MaMa, and Lincoln Center, as well as in nine countries across the globe. Select theater credits: the West Coast premiere of Significant Other (The Geffen), Nancy Kerrigan in Toe Pick! (Dixon Place), the titular character in Kaspar Hauser by Tony nominee Elizabeth Swados, Far From Heaven directed by Tony nominee Michael Greif, PS Jones and the Frozen City by Tony nominee Robert Askins, and Vaclav Havel's The Conspirators opposite Kathleen Turner. Preston was a founding member of Political Subversities, a political musical sketch group that performed at Joe's Pub, Ars Nova, The PIT and held a residency at YouTube. Participant of Williamstown Theater Festival and Old Vic New Voices US/UK Exchange. As a director, Preston has directed numerous cabarets and sketch comedy shows across the city, as well as the premiere of Elysium, a new musical developed at The Freed Center in Ohio. Preston annually directs The Reality Show: NYU, a devised mental health awareness project that has performed at Madison Square Garden, the Barclay Center, and Radio City Music Hall in NYC, as well as in Abu Dhabi and Shanghai.
