Julie Whitesell grew up in the Silicon Valley as a middle child in a family of math and science geniuses (more on that in her future best-selling memoirs). She began writing, performing and directing sketch comedy while at Yale, where she graduated in English and Theatre. In addition to writing sketches for Oh Brother!, Julie is currently writing for MELISSA & JOEY on ABC FAMILY and has previously written for LEVEL UP on Cartoon Network. She is also a graduate of the NBC writing program.

Her UCB credits include Maude Night, Sketch Cram, CDR Sketch, Dirtiest Sketch and UCB Comedy originals. She has performed at Sketchfest NYC and SF Sketchfest and some of her sketches have been featured on Funny or Die and aired on NPR's Marketplace and Sirius Radio. In her free time, Julie enjoys dancing poorly, partying like an animal, and playing with her dog, Monkey.
