Alex is a writer for Maude team Presley at UCB Theatre, where he's studied improv and sketch comedy since 2015. He originally hails from Pittsburgh, PA and is a graduate of Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service. Alex's performance background is in dance and musical theatre; in high school, Alex came in 2nd in the National High School Musical Theatre Awards, and in college, he sang with his a cappella group for President Obama, the National Security Council, Coldplay, and the Jonas Brothers, among others. He has studied improv with Brandon Scott Jones, Silvija Ozols, Patrick Noth, Morgan Grace Jarrett, and Zack Willis, and sketch with Brandon Bassham and Madalyn Baldanzi. Alex is currently also on indie improv team Empress, which hosts two monthly shows at the PIT.
