Laura is a comedy writer, performer, journalist and author. She's written for People, ESPN, Esquire, Vanity Fair, The New Yorker's Daily Shouts, Cosmopolitan, The Washington Post, McSweeney's and Men’s Fitness. She was a reporter for E! and an editor at In Touch, Life & Style and OK!. Laura is the co-creator of This Is Why You're Single, a comedy sketch show, podcast and book, which was optioned for TV by the Pop network. The book was called a "witty and wise dating guide [that] combines the social analysis of Sex and the City with the sassy irreverence of Broad City” by In Touch Weekly. The podcast, which is on the HeadGum network, has over 1.8 million plays and has repeatedly hit the iTunes top 10 comedy podcast rankings. The sketch show was called "humorous" by The New York Times and "an entertaining ride" by The Wall Street Journal. Her most recent sketch show is Femme Fairy Tales: Disney Princesses Become Feminists. Laura wrote jokes for season 5 of TruTV's show Billy on the Street and was an entertainment correspondent for People magazine, hosted ESPN's poker show Inside Deal and co-hosted MetLife's live pre-game football show at Jets stadium. She wrote and produced a comedy video for The New Yorker and has appeared in Morgan Spurlock’s Yahoo comedy series, Mansome, in the UCB web series 24X24, and in the short film What We Talk About When We Talk About Zombies. As an entertainment commentator she's appeared on VH1, The Insider, Extra, Entertainment Tonight, E!, MTV, MSNBC, CNN's Showbiz Tonight and Fox News. She was on the creative team for the book Coloring for Grown-Ups: Holiday Fun and has an interview included in the book Callings, by StoryCorps and NPR host David Isay. Fun facts: Laura was born with one kidney, has double jointed shoulders, and was once Kristen Wiig's body double on The Tonight Show. She is currently based in New York.
