Luke Burns is a writer living in New York who wrote on Maude Night for four years. He teaches humor writing, and works as a sketch coach and director. His work has been published by The New Yorker, The American Bystander, McSweeney's Internet Tendency, Splitsider, and in "The Best of McSweeney's Internet Tendency" and "The McSweeney's Book of Politics and Musicals." He co-hosts the monthly show "An Evening of Humorous Readings," and is a co-creator of The Encyclopedia of Hypothetical Police Procedurals.
