Hailing from the covert suburbs of Washington D.C., Aparna Nancherla is a stand up comedy blob who currently hosts Whiplash on Monday nights at the UCB. She most recently wrote for and sometimes appeared on the late, great Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell, on FX-then-FXX. Aparna's comedic goggles are dry and observational, and her act is sprinkled with absurdist wit and a whimsical point-of-view. Other credits include Conan on TBS, @midnight and Adam Devine's House Party on Comedy Central, VH1's "I Love the 2000s", MTV Other, Above Average, the Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal, and lists compiled by Time Magazine, Jezebel, Time Out NY, Flavorpill, LA Weekly, Serial Optimist, and Splitsider. You also may have heard her on the WTF Podcast with Marc Maron, the Nerdist Podcast with Chris Hardwick, NPR, and Radio Q on CBC. Aparna has also studied improv at the Washington Improv Theater, the Upright Citizen's Brigade in both NY and LA, and at the Groundlings.
