Alice Stanley Jr. is writer from Chicago’s South Side. Her original plays and musicals have been produced all over the country, most notably at THE GOODMAN, VICTORY GARDENS, and THE ETHICAL SOCIETY OF ST. LOUIS. She is LA-based now, but while in the windy city she did a boatload of improv. Literally, she toured with THE SECOND CITY on a cruise ship. She also performed on several ensembles at iO including WHIRLED NEWS TONIGHT and the LGBTQA cast of DREAMBOAT. Her ecoterrorist musical solo show MEAT CUTE had two sellout runs at THE ANNOYANCE and THE CUTE SPACE. Film & TV writing credits include the Tina Fey-produced show BUSY TONIGHT (E!) and the Amy Poehler-directed feature MOXIE (Netflix). Dramaturgy credits include THE MOUNTAIN DIGBY (HUDSON MAINSTAGE) & 30-YEAR-OLD VIRGO (EDINBURGH FRINGE). In a past life Alice was a full-time Chicago Public Schools teacher and ran a playwriting/improv program for underserved high schoolers.
