WRITING DUOS: LENNON PARHAM & JESSICA ST. CLAIR
Tuesday, December 12th, 2pm PT / 5pm ET
Location: Online
Programming Type: Panel / Q&A
Guests: Lennon Parham & Jessica St. Clair
One of the best parts of writing comedy is collaborating with funny, smart people. But — how does collaboration work? What goes on behind the scenes? What makes some collaborators click and others… not? Come find out by joining this Q&A with incredible writing duo Lennon Parham and Jessica St. Clair!
Parham and St. Clair are the creators of NBC’s Best Friends Forever and USA Network’s Playing House, as well as the podcast WOMP It Up. In this Q&A, they’ll discuss working as a writing duo and their start in the comedy world. They’ll share stories of their early days in UCB NY, developing characters and ideas through improv — and they’ll take questions from the audience about their work and collaboration.
[The Q&A will be moderated by writing duo / UCB teachers Marina Tempelsman and Niccolo Aeed.]
Note: If this time doesn’t work for you, don’t worry! All who register will be sent a link to a recording of the event afterwards. The recording will be available for one week after the panel.

HOW A WRITERS ROOM WORKS (Q&A WITH LAMAR WOODS)
Tuesday, December 19th, 5pm PT / 8pm ET
Location: Online
Programming Type: Q&A
Instructor: Lamar Woods
When he was first hired to work in a writers’ room, Lamar had no idea how a writers’ room was supposed to work. So now he’s sharing the info he wishes he’d had back then! In this event, Lamar will answer questions about all things Writers Room related, and explain how a TV show goes from a pilot to a full season. (Participants will be able to submit questions prior to the event, and via the Zoom chat while the event is underway.)
Lamar has worked in rooms for shows such as New Girl, Single Parents, Brooklyn 99, and more recently Grand Crew. These shows were all very different from each other, and he is excited to offer his collective experience to upcoming writers who are considering staffing as a career.
Note: If this time doesn’t work for you, don’t worry! All who register will be sent a link to a recording of the event afterwards. The recording will be available for one week after the panel.
