Catharsis: Dramatic Improv

Catharsis: Dramatic Improv started in 2016 as a way for improvisers to show off their acting chops. Rather than focus on fast, beat-the-game scenes, the goal of Catharsis is for improvisers to slow down a bit to develop real, grounded relationships and explore those relationships in a 20-minute monoscene. The results is often touching, relatable, and yes, very very funny.

Catharsis: Dramatic Improv has been performed at The UCB Theater, The Clubhouse Theater, The LA Indie Improv Festival, and the Del Close Marathon in New York.

Covid Policy:

It is strongly recommended that audience members be vaccinated and wear masks at our shows. We will provide masks at the door for those who would like one. Additionally, we reserve the right to require masks for select shows based on the needs of the performers and staff.

We will continue to use the LA County Department of Health and their resources for guiding Covid-19 policies. Policies are subject to change.

Parking:

Please allow ample time for parking. UCB does not provide parking services. Street parking is available in the neighborhoods surrounding the theater.
