Moni Oyedepo

MONI OYEDEPO is a writer, actress Nigerian-American with charming southern sensibilities. After working as a government consultant she forsook her degree and ambitions of being a senator for comedy writing. Moni is part of the inaugural class of the Women Write Now fellowship through HARTBEAT where her short film ‘Take the Job’ premiered at SUNDANCE and is streaming on PEACOCK. She’s part of the SONY supported 2022 Creative Corridor, an Independent Film Trust and Roadmap Writers initiative. Moni’s sweet spot is writing heartwarming comedies. When she’s not busy being funny you can find Moni playing the violin, dabbling as a matchmaker or teaching celebs how to mitigate embarrassment and win on game shows as a talent producer on CELEBRITY GAME FACE and 25 WORDS OR LESS. Moni is an improv and sketch performer at the Upright Citizens Brigade theatre. Her comedy has been featured on Freeform, WhoHaHa, CollegeHumor, Funny or Die and VoyageLA.
