We wanted to make everyone aware that as of May 4, 2022, we will be migrating to a new Training Center software and moving on from the Dashboard. This new system will allow students to have greater control over their registration process with helpful features including waitlisting, transfers, email notifications for specific courses, and cleaner communication lines between staff and students.

What does this mean for you?

When signing up for a new course, you will be prompted to create a new account. Upon entering the basic information, you will receive an email from “The UCB Training Center” asking you to verify your email address.

After the quick registration process, you can access your student portal where you can fill out whatever information you would like (pronouns, course notification preferences, etc). This portal also allows you to view important class information, manage your waitlists, and more! After this one time registration, you will only need to login to your account for future course registrations.

What about your previous course credits and grades?

Don’t worry! You won’t be losing your grades, course comments or course credits. Though we’ll be phasing out the old system, we’ll be migrating the information over to our new system. That being said, it will take a few weeks to get everything settled in. If you need to access your information or want to request a transcript, please email [email protected] and we can send that information to you.

Will you still be able to see certain shows for free?

Yes! Seeing shows and discussing them with your classmates is such an important part of the learning process. We will have more information on all of this as we get closer to reopening in-person shows.

How do I use the waitlist function?

We’re really excited to offer the chance for students to waitlist for a course! When a class sells out, the register button on our dashboard will change to offer students the ability to sign up for a waitlist. Once on the waitlist, you can use the new student portal to see your place on the list. If a spot opens up, you will receive an email with instructions to confirm your registration.

In summary

This will not impact how your course is run or anything regarding the curriculum. Though we’re expecting a few growing pains, we’re confident this new system will be simpler, faster, and allow students to have more control over their learning experience at the UCB Training Center.

We appreciate your patience and please reach out if there are any questions!
