UCB Theatre alums Brian Huskey and Anna Vocino star in VH1's new improvised show Free Radio with Lance Krall

How does a dim-witted intern become a radio superstar? Find out as VH1's new improvised comedy series, Free Radio, chronicles the Cinderella story of Lance, (Lance Krall of The Joe Schmo Show and The Lance Krall Show) a radio show intern, who answers his call to greatness by jumping in to host a popular morning show, when the real host defects to satellite radio. Lance's hosting effort is so spectacularly awful that ratings actually go up.

In addition to the rise of our hero, Lance, Free Radio follows the dysfunctional staff at KBOM, as they try to adjust to life with their new unlikely star. From the frustrated station manager, James (played by Brian Huskey) to co-host, Anna, (played by Anna Vocino), they all put up with Lance for the sake of ratings, dubbing his new show, 'Moron in the Morning.'

The half-hour series, Free Radio premieres with back-to-back episodes Friday, February 8 starting at 9:30 PM. Celebrity guests from film, television, music and stage join Lance in his booth to promote their latest projects and endure Lance's clueless questions and oblivious take on the world. Hollywood luminaries from 24's Kiefer Sutherland to three-time Emmy Award winner Tony Shalhoub (Monk) to 'Jack Coleman (Heroes) and Ray Romano, are subjected to the idiot storm that is Lance and 'Moron in the Morning.' While runaway celebrity interviews make up the bulk of the show, Free Radio also goes behind the scenes to depict our loveably dim hero's struggle to deal with his newfound fame and earn the respect of his co-workers.
