Alexis Simpson started her comedy career just like everybody else: reenacting In Living Color bits to make her mom laugh. She took the obvious next step of studying neuroscience at Haverford College and working in a drug addiction research lab. In college, she founded a comedy troupe, thus beginning a decade-long journey of “wasting her degree.” In Philadelphia, Alexis joined the improv troupe CSz Philly, founded a comedy theater, and toured internationally with the longfrom trio Rare Bird Show. After moving to Los Angeles, she was in cast in several iO West sketch & improv teams and directed the CSzLA Mainstage improv company. She acts, directs, and teaches with The Story Pirates, which tours nationally and currently boasts the #1 podcast for Kids & Families. Other live credits include The Second City, Chicago SketchFest, The Geffen Playhouse, and opening for the original UCB 4. Television credits include Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Brittany Murphy Story, and the incredibly funny American Crime Story: The People vs OJ Simpson.
