Kathryn Bond is an actress, writer, comedian and clown. She studied Acting amongst the likes of 'The League of Gentlemen' at Bretton Hall and then continued her bohemian dream and went to Clown school with Phillipe Guallier. She formed critically acclaimed comedy That Pair with fellow Essex girl Lorna Shaw. With That Pair Kathryn has enjoyed a sell out run at The Soho Theatre with a hilariously silly hour of sketch, character and musical comedy. After a celebrated debut in 2012, they achieved critical acclaim at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2013 and 2015 and are currently developing some filmed projects. In 2015 Kat performed with Jon Pointing (Bucket) in The Kat and Jon Appeal and recently appeared in ‘Bucket’s’ pilot film. Kat also has working with Gabriel Bisset Smith, Massive Dad and Rob Cawsey on their filmed projects. Kathryn also formed part of the small ensemble cast for the pilot of the new BBC Comedy show ‘Kerry’ fronted by Bafta nominated Kerry Howard as well as appearing in Foster's Edinburgh Comedy Award winner Doctor Brown's Channel 4 Blaps. She has recently appeared in Call the Midwife and The Agency and Sky's The Greatest of All Time'. She also featured on BBC Radio 4’s Sketchorama and was part of the cast for recent Radio 4 sitcom Expenses Only. This year has seen Kat hitting the boards and after finishing a national tour of award winning poet Kate Tempest's play Glasshouse she has recently performed in a new short play called Aloe Aloe at The Arcola theatre and Arts theatre in the West End. Aloe Aloe was published this year my Nick Hern. Kat is also developing a new play with bright young thing playwright Camilla Valerie Whitehall for this years Vault festival along with performing Loo Roll at festivals this summer. Kat has been improvising for 2 years and regularly plays at Free Association.
