Marissa has been improvising since 2008 when the fine people of Marymount Manhattan College's troupe Nutz & Boltz took a chance on the then improv newbie. Since then she's been hooked. While in New York City, Marissa took classes at Magnet Theater. Upon transferring to Smith College she joined neighboring school Hampshire College's improv troupe, NDC. After graduating, Marissa lived in her home state of Minnesota for a year where she took classes and bartended at HUGE Theater. Marissa spent the summer of 2013 in Chicago training at iO's summer intensive. She was a part of ImprovBoston's Harold Night as a member of Viceroy and Duchess and participated in one season of Improv Asylum's NXT cast. Marissa spent her Fridays with long form team Naffy at The Riot Theater in Jamaica Plain for the better part of a year. Now in LA looking for new improv adventures. When not onstage, you can find Marissa making or eating pizza.
