Brendan is originally from Chicago, where he did a pile of improv and local theatre. Then he moved to Amsterdam to perform with Boom Chicago, the experience of which he related in his one-man show Five Years In Amsterdam, which was performed at the HBO US Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen. He has appeared on such shows as Key & Peele, Community, Son of Zorn, Parks and Recreation and others. He was nominated for an Emmy for writing on Key and Peele's Super Bowl Special.
