Gregory Burke is a comedian and writer based in New York City. He has appeared in featured roles on NBC's Law and Order, Third Watch and FOX's New York Undercover and as various characters on Late Night with Conan O'Brien. Greg can also be seen in DERRICK Comedy's recent feature film "Mystery Team" which was an official selection at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival and received a nationwide release later that year. Also in 2009, Greg won the Best Actor award at the New York Television Festival for his performance in "Blog of a Pool Boy", which also won for Best Comedy Pilot. In 2006 Greg co-starred in the film "Checkout", directed by Dan Eckman, which won Best College Short at the HBO U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen.
Other credits include six years portraying Ben Reade on CBS' The Guiding light various national commercials and numerous childhood exploits on Saturday Night Live and The Late Show with David Letterman.
Greg performs improv/sketch comedy and writes for film, television and the web with his brilliantly named duo "Greg & Lou present Lou & Greg" and is a founding member of the sketch/improv troupe, The Wicked Wicked Hammerkatz (2005 ECNY Winners for Best Sketch Group). He has performed in, written and/or directed dozens of shows at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in New York and is a member of the prestigious First Look Theatre Company at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts.
