Chris Cooper was born in Monroe, Louisiana and reared 20 minutes away in Rayville, the White Gold (cotton) Capital of the South where he perfected the art of hoeing. Back in Monroe he worked on his undergraduate studies at The University of Louisiana at Monroe where he participated in a production of Barefoot in the Park. He later lent his talents to The Strauss Theater Company in productions of The Nutcracker, The Edgar Allan Poe Marathon, A Tuna Christmas and A New Style of Murder. Since October 2000 he has been studying improv and sketch comedy and finds himself on stage today.
