Mehdi Barakchian was born in NYC, currently lives in New Jersey and doesn’t care for your opinion on the matter. He’s studied Sketch and Improv at Upright Citizen’s Brigade and The Peoples Improv Theater. If you still have a TV, you can catch him on NCIS: New Orleans, CBS’ Bull, Hulu’s Difficult People, TBS’ Search Party, and Lifetime’s YOU. Mehdi is also the creator and host of the “Brown as f*ck” talk show, “Passport Control with Mehdi Barakchian” on BRIC TV. TimeOut NY said Mehdi does “the Daily Show better than the real thing,” and NY Times exclaimed the show is a “fresh take on the late-night talk show.” Mehdi is a proud member of UCB Digital Team “Frohnson & Frohnson.” Their comedy pilot, SPLUNCH, was an Official Selection at NYTVF and won the Just For Laughs ComedyPRO Partnership. You can also catch him as a recurring guest on UCB Digital’s podcast “Career Tracker.” He also serves as Co-Host/Producer/Writer on NY Times acclaimed late-night talk show “Brunch Night! with Jamie LeeLo” which opened Comedy Central’s NY Comedy Festival consecutive years at Carolines on Broadway. If you’d like to see him in real life you can spot him weekly improvising with veteran PIT House Team “Hero Complex.” Mehdi hopes to one day own a fridge that makes its own ice.
