Ben Wietmarschen (pronounced like wheat-martian), is a comedy writer, performer, and improviser living in Brooklyn, NY. He is currently a staff writer for Funny Or Die. In the past he has served as a writer for the UCB Maude team, FAMBLY. He wrote and starred in "Baseball is America", a sketch comedy show that ran at the UCB Theatre. He also co-wrote and co-starred in the UCB show "The Honeymen Present: A Salute to Honey!" with his comedy partners and fellow HONEYMEN: Pat O'Brien and Colin Elzie, and co-created, wrote and stars in the web series "Long Haired Businessmen" and the short film "Men's Thanksgiving". He has directed multiple UCB Maude Teams and other sketch comedy shows at theaters around NYC over the last 3 years. He has been a contributing writer for The Onion News Network on IFC, co-wrote the long-running Channel 101 show My Dad the Girl Bike and has written and performed in the UCB shows Sketch Cram and Cool Show 4 Teen Girlz. He also spent the entire 2013 baseball season watching baseball games and creating baseball themed sketch comedy videos with Major League Baseball players for the MLB Fan Cave. Ben was born and raised in Cincinnati, OH and cares too much about Cincinnati sports teams. He graduated with an English and Education degree from Kent State University where he ran Cross Country and Track for the Golden Flashes.
