Justin James Lang or "JJ" is from Warwick, Rhode Island. He continues to feel INADEQUATE for never finishing a program at any formal acting institution or university and considers himself self taught. He has culminated a list of places that he has studied theater, comedy, film, and or tv in his life THUS far. THE University of Rhode island, THE Studio 4 NYC, Brooke and Mary, and THE Upright Citizens Brigade Theater where he interned, worked, studied, and performed at different moments in his 13 years in NYC. He resides in Rhode Island where he continues to care for his disabled father who is a Vietnam Veteran and their Maltese Rosa. He currently performs with his Sketch Group Deathbird and periodically with his long time NYC family Jerk Practice. JJ is also a member of The Open Circle Theater Ensemble and hopes to perform with some of his oldest friends in Rhode Island at THE Providence Improv Guild. He would like to think that he ushered long form improv into Rhode Island by forming a version of Unexpected Company with fellow URI students and a customer at Blockbuster video circa 2002. He recently was awarded Best Actor at Studio 4 NYC's short film festival for his role in the film Fifteen directed by Will Hochman and Raymond T. Williams who was his instructor at Studio 4. JJ has exploited himself in different venues including tv, film, commercials, THE internet, basement theaters, restaurant theaters, and in public over sometime.
