'SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE' ADDS TWO TO CAST

Saturday Night Live just announced the newest additions to their upcoming 35th season. The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre is proud to congratulate new cast members Jenny Slate and Nasim Pedrad, and new staff writers Ryan Perez and Christine Nangle. All four are performers and writers at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in New York and Los Angeles. Nasim Pedrad's one-woman show ME, MYSELF, & IRAN ran for several months at the UCB Theatre in Los Angeles. She studied at our LA Training Center and performed sketch with a UCBTLA "Maude Team." Jenny Slate's one-woman show, 'Jenny Slate: DEAD MILLIONAIRE' ran for several months at the UCB Theatre in New York. She also studied improvisation at our New York Training Center.

Ryan Perez improvises with a UCBTLA "Harold Team" and performs sketch with a UCBTLA "Maude Team". He is also a regular contributor to The Midnight Show and co-director of the monthly show "Sketch Cram."

Christine Nangle has studied improv and sketch at the UCB Theatre in New York since 2007. She performed improv with a UCBTNY "Harold Team" and was a sketch writer for a UCBTNY "Maude Team." Maude Teams were created in 2007 as a way for UCBT performers and writers to create, produce and perform an all-new sketch comedy show every month. There are currently five Maude Teams performing at our LA Theatre and six Teams performing at our NY Theatre. The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatres in New York and Los Angeles offer the best stand-up, sketch and improvisational comedy in the country, with shows running seven nights a week.
